Controlled electric power steering

DAEV Control

Power assistance that knows when to fade away: a control module, an Android app and options to tune steering behaviour to the car.

A control module + Android app

DAEV Control pilots an adapted electric power steering system so assistance can vary with vehicle speed. Strong assistance can be retained for manoeuvring and progressively reduced as speed rises.

The phone is used for configuration; the active profile is stored in the module, so the steering does not depend on a connected phone.

Up to five profiles

DAEV Control provides up to five tuning profiles, from urban comfort to firmer road or sport-oriented behaviour.

Configurable assistance curve

The base setup directly links vehicle speed to a requested assistance percentage, using terms that remain understandable to the driver.

Behaviour settings

Available settings include return to centre, response, corner hold and end-stop approach, allowing steering behaviour to be tuned rather than exposing internal electronics parameters.

Vehicle-specific calibration

Calibration stores left stop, right stop and the true steering-wheel centre separately, so the centre can match the real straight-ahead position.

Steering-angle option — +€59

The option adds real steering-wheel position measurement. This allows assistance to be refined using both vehicle speed and steering angle and improves return-to-centre, corner-hold and end-stop behaviour.

Option price: +€59 incl. VAT.

Additional options

The architecture can also use additional information such as CAN communication and other measurements useful for control.
